Botox® Treatments in Winnipeg

Botox® and Dysport are available to our clients who are wanting to look and feel their best without having to undergo invasive procedures or surgery. As one of Winnipeg’s leading Botox® and Dysport aesthetic clinics, we pride ourselves in giving each patient the appearance and experience they desire.

Botox® Cosmetic Treatments

Botox®, or botulinum toxin, and Dysport are neuromodulators that smooth out lines and wrinkles caused by repetitive facial movements. They work beneath the skin’s surface by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles. Every time we frown, smile, or squint our eyes, fine lines build and wrinkles intensify.

Once Botox® or Dysport are injected, the muscle either can’t contract at all, or can only contract a little, making the wrinkles relax and soften.

Neuromodulators treat existing wrinkles, but they can also be used preventatively. Preventative treatments target these muscle groups to prevent that wrinkle from appearing. A common patient concern is that they will have the appearance of looking too “frozen” after a treatment. Rest assured that the degree of muscle movement you wish to maintain is up to you, and your practitioner can adjust your cosmetic treatment accordingly.

What Areas Can Botox® and Dysport Treat?

For enhanced cosmetic appearance, Botox® and Dysport are most often used to smooth out wrinkles on the forehead, between the brows, and on crow’s feet. They can also be used in the upper eyebrow area, around the nose, above the lip, on the chin, and at the corners of the mouth.
