Skincare

Many of us begin and end our day by looking at our phones– it’s a subconscious routine and not a beneficial one.

Healthy rituals and routines can do wonders for your mental and physical health. A healthy morning routine includes exercise, meditation, journaling, and skincare.

We challenge you to follow an intentional routine to care for your body and mind every morning for two weeks. You’ll be sure to notice the benefits.

A skincare routine can prep your skin for the day and help you feel refreshed at the end of a long one. We’d love to help you find a skincare routine that works for you. Book a free skincare consultation today.

Cleansing

Cleansing your skin can feel like a fresh start. The right cleanser will remove sweat, bacteria, oils and pollutants from your skin, which is essential for a clean, healthy looking complexion.

Some cleansers can contain harsh ingredients that may be harmful to your skin, such as sulfates, parabens, dyes, and perfumes. At Form, we avoid chemical preservatives like parabens, BHA (butylated hydroxyanisole) and BHT (butylated hydroxytoluene). Parabens mimic estrogen which may be carcinogenic and disrupt hormone levels. BHA and BHT are common allergens.

It’s important to find a cleanser that works for you or it could end up doing more harm than good.

Vitamin C

The antioxidant properties of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and its role in collagen synthesis make vitamin C serum almost universally recommended.

Skincare vitamin C

Collagen keeps our skin looking and feeling young. Unfortunately, it diminishes by 1% a year as we age. Dietary and topical vitamin C can revitalize your skin cells. Some studies have shown that vitamin C can treat UV photodamage. As a collagen booster and antioxidant, vitamin C is one of the most desirable serums on the market.

As with many things in life, fresh is best. Vitamin C serum should always be clear. Once it turns straw colored, it no longer has antioxidant properties. Topical vitamin C works best when you freshly formulate the serum yourself. Try some of our favourite formulations during your next visit.

Moisturizers

Nature and science combine to give your skin what it needs. Clean science refers to active ingredients without harmful chemicals and dyes. We carry eight unique clean science moisturizers that use natural and pharmaceutical-grade ingredients to produce optimal skincare results.

The line includes both dew and matte finishes. Our moisturizers are well suited for those with active dermatological conditions including acne and rosacea.

One of our favorite moisturizers, Hydraclarité, contains Hinokitiol, an ingredient derived from cedar trees. This organic, anti-inflammatory ingredient soothes skin and reduces redness, making it a go-to moisturizer.

Our skincare line is results-driven with medical grade ingredients. Our moisturizers are multi-functional, hydrating based on skin type and desired outcomes. Book a free skincare consult for an in-depth skin analysis and to find out which moisturizer is right for you.

Serums

Serums are a valuable part of any skincare routine. They can be used to treat specific skin conditions including rosacea, acne, hyperpigmentation, melasma, and aging.

As Winnipeg’s exclusive AlumierMD clinic, we carry fifteen different serums, each created to achieve a unique result. Our serums can be used alone or in combination with other products, depending on your needs. With active ingredients and designer peptides, our medical grade serums achieve noticeable results, often within two weeks.

Sunscreens

Believe it or not, you should wear sunscreen every single day. Yes, even on a cloudy day. By simply adding sunscreen to your morning routine you will be using the most effective anti-aging product available.

The best way to prevent sun damage, skin cancer, and signs of aging is to use sunscreen regularly. Not just any sunscreen, physical sunscreen is recommended for everyday use since it:

  • Protects against both UVA and UVB rays
  • Is naturally broad spectrum
  • Is effective immediately after application
  • Lasts longer in direct UV light
  • Is less likely to irritate the skin
  • Is ideal for people prone to rosacea and redness
  • Is less likely to clog pores

Our line of sunscreen comes in moisturizing, matte, tinted, and untinted varieties. We even have a unique formula for blemish prone skin.

Let us help you find the sunscreen that works best for you to keep your face fresh and free of preventable photodamage.
