I’ve been a patient of Form since the very beginning. I was looking for a change from my previous Botox provider, who I felt was always very rushed. There was no time to discuss my areas of concern or my expectations for the outcome. My experience at Form has been very different. Unlike some other clinics, Form’s primary focus is on non-invasive medical cosmetic treatments, NOT plastic surgery, and it shows. They are the best in the business as they choose to focus on this area of practice. They have the time to discuss your areas of concern, explain the available treatments, and provide realistic outcomes.
Dr’s Waye and Paterson are both extremely professional and gracious. And the rest of the staff are so friendly and accommodating. (Ana!) As a client I’m looking for very natural results. I’m not looking for drastic changes in my appearance (although this may appeal to some), only to slow the aging process and save time in my morning and nightly routines. I have always felt that Dr’s Waye and Paterson have respected this, and have never felt any pressure to “do more” than I had originally intended. They are interested in how YOU want to look, not the standards set by others.
That being said, if you have any questions regarding skin health – they are extremely knowledgeable and happy to take the time to discuss these with you. Wear your sunscreen! I must also comment that the hours of operation are extended (evenings and weekends!) allowing for a busy mom like myself to easily find an appointment time. This is so wonderful and appreciated. The treatments and care I received really helped boost my self confidence! Going for a treatment changed from something I dreaded (at other places) to a fun and warm-hearted experience I looked forward to.
The Votiva treatments administered by Dr. Paterson have made a remarkable difference in my life. I had been suffering from various health issues following childbirth, including terrible urinary stress incontinence and uncomfortable episiotomy scar tissue. I attended weekly pelvic floor physiotherapy sessions for over a year. My Kegel muscles were tight but I couldn’t prevent accidents from happening. I had to wear regular liners daily, leaving me feeling unclean in addition to fearing a cough or sneeze. I have had two Votiva treatments.
After one Votiva treatment, I had one urinary stress incontinence accident within a two- week period, with another small leak following the second treatment. This was a night and day difference compared to the daily leaks I had endured. Dr. Paterson says a full treatment takes up to six weeks to take effect, so I look forward to seeing continual improvement.
Additionally, I had an overly tight right muscle in my vagina that pelvic floor physiotherapy could not release. It created the sensation that my vagina was not straight. One week following the first Votiva treatment, my partner and I immediately noticed a difference. Intercourse was pleasurable again and my orgasms stronger. My vagina was realigned, with intercourse feeling like it did 10 years ago and my partner could tell that it was considerably tighter. After the second Votiva treatment my partner noticed even further improvement.
The episiotomy scar tissue made intercourse unenjoyable. During the second treatment Dr. Paterson used the Votiva device to treat the scar tissue. In less than a minute all the pain and irritation I had suffered over the past 18 months was gone. After two days, I no longer felt the scar tissue pulling on my vaginal wall or any of the discomfort and rawness I had previously experienced. I never expected that something like this could be repaired, especially so quickly, easily and painlessly.
The first treatment was slightly uncomfortable because of where I was in my menstrual cycle and the rawness of my episiotomy scar tissue. However, the second treatment was not painful or uncomfortable. Within 2 hours I felt almost nothing related to the treatment.
To be honest, the Votiva treatment was done purely for medical and comfort purposes. However, after only one treatment I was amazed at how tight and youthful in appearance my vagina looked. The Votiva treatment completely eliminated the disfigurement caused by birthing my child. This has restored my confidence in my body and has been a wonderful additional takeaway from the treatment.
I am in awe of this treatment and have already recommended it to others as a solution to the physical challenges childbirth leaves behind. Women’s health is so often overlooked. Postpartum urinary stress incontinence, episiotomy scar tissue discomfort and sexual dysfunction are serious, legitimate health and medical issues that our health care system does not adequately discuss or properly address. In addition to her perfectionism and skill, she always lightens the atmosphere with her calming and kind personality and her extremely witty banter. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Paterson for bringing this type of treatment to Winnipeg.
